As the global situation currently experience, most of the governments' practices constrained movement order to reduce the outbreaks. For that, people around the world reduce their outside activities, and less carbon released to the air during this time. Do you think these few days or weeks of a significant release of greenhouse gasses have a positive impact to the environment?
There is no doubt that a reduction of the global traffic in the streets, by air transport or on ship will have an effect on the expulsion of gases called greenhouse gases. Our environment gets less polluted and this may be a fine side-effect of the corona crisis. But the global climate will not take care of what we are going to do. We should not overestimate our impact. On the other hand we cannot use the current state as a role model for us how to continue living because it is paid for by reduction of human rights and human lives.

Though it is causing dreadful impacts on humans it is seen that the impact on environment is very positive. Less pollution, no added pressure on natural resources and almost no harmful human interventions on environment.
That sounds all good.
How long will you be able or willing to live in this environment ?

Definitely there is improvement in air quality. The sky is clear. The rivers have cleaner water. There is less human activity seen. The enviornment is less noisy. One can hear and appreciate the chirping of birds. And of course, in lockdown there is more interaction with nieghbours.
However, I noticed that there is some increase in the amount of garbage, especially stuff related to COVID-19, such as face masks, gloves, PPEs, etc. My government announced that are at least 15% increase of garbage during this time and most of the increment is due to the above items.
