Are there any quick scientific findings why COVID-19 spreaded heavily to Italy and Iran, specifically?
Moreover, why casualty is surging steeply in Italy?

It is suspected that Covid 19 emerged within Italy while that country was suffering from an "ordinary" flu, and that doctors confused that with Covid 19, so that the later disease was too late detected as something different.
Late testing or testing only after a patient has severe symptoms could lead to out of control of COVID-19 spreading. So, all effort must be put into Covid testing simultaneously with patient treatment.
