I looked into it critically and realized that for example to get the forces between two electrons you need to add the force due to the electric charges plus the force due to the magnetic fields produced by the two electrons.
Is my hypothesis correct?
The "spin" of electromagnetic particles has nothing to do with physically spinning. It relates to the relative magnetic polarity of particles (parallel or anti-parallel alignment):

The Coulomb law has been shown for centuries to permanently be in inverse square interaction with distance between charged particles, moving or not.
The magnetic inverse cube interaction law has been recently confirmed to be in action between the same charged particles (two electrons in this experiment). See first paper for details.
The second paper analyzes how both interaction laws are related.
