Hi Eduardo, Please check out the work of my friend Dr. Robert L Bugg on ResearchGate. He also co-authored a book with Charles H. Pickett in 1998 titled:" Biological Control. Habitat Management to Promote Natural Enemies of Agricultural Crops". University of California Press. Pp.422. I think this book can serve as a good reference to answer your question.
I am sorry for the super late answer. I just noticed you question now. in our project we study the interaction between species of winter cover crops. we are studying how/why mixing species of winter cover crops can be advantages in terms of biomass yield, resources acquisition, resources use efficiency, nutrient cycling, reduction of N leaching, altering soil microbiology and the response of the subsequent cash crop to our cover crop treatments.
In this project we are not dealing with the anthropoid ecology.
We published our first paper yesterday entitled " Cover crop mixtures result in a positive net biodiversity effect irrespective of seeding configuration".
