My question is why you consider using sinusoidal functions to model fuzzy data? I don't know whether you need the sinusoidal shape for some additional reasons. Although the already developed statistical methods to deal with FRS data can be applied to sinusoidal and other data shapes, trapezoidal one usually allows us to ease and get exact computations.
