Could you help explain an unexpected result from the cyclic voltammetry (CV) test for electrochromic performance?

I have scanned tungsten oxide thin-film-based materials for electrochromic performance. Normally, after extended cycling, the current density decreases. However, in this case, as shown, the anodic peak at the 500th cycle is higher than at the 2nd cycle. Why is this?
