Yes (and no). At a single rpm, perhaps. Tetradecane has a specific Cetane rating while hexane's Octane rating is just above zero (heptane = 0). The problem of autoigniting hexane emulsion is in the making of it, using hexanoic acid as emulsifier (or whichever is used). I assume you have a source of readily available cheap supply of hexane. This would be a matter of making the right size micelle with stoichiometric water content. I ran hexane in my '53 Chevy truck back in 1970 and it pinged like hell. Also used 0 Octane, heptane on my way toward hydrogen & oxygen. To just idle I was at 28-29° retarded! in a '62 Dodge slant 6 truck. If you wanted, spray inject water with the hexane emulsion with a high compression ratio and modulate timin and injection for best toeque. Let me know if you don't understand, etc.
