I'm interested in alien plants in the European Mediterranean region, and now I need to find good characters to distinguish different Opuntia species. One of the most important points I found is the confusing synonymy, and the problem that follows from this is the taxa misidentifications. Additionally, due to these being american plants, it's a little difficult to find comprehensive information in my country.
