The fundamental substance of the universe from which all the matter arise has the nature of the empty space. This fundamental substance is perfectly motionless so it cannot be detected. When this substance begins to move, the time begins. See the following article for more details.
I think you have said this according to Shaankarvedanta (शांकरवेदांत) but according to other theories there would be change in the statements you made.
e.g. in the part
"The fundamental substance of the universe from which all the matter arise has the nature of the empty space. This fundamental substance is perfectly motionless so it cannot be detected."
I am not familiar with the word Shaankarvedanta, but by this if you mean Advaita Vedanta of Sankara then you may be partly right, because Sankara was 7th or 8th century AD where as what I have said is already there in Bhagavad Gita (3139 BCE) and even before BG in Upanishads and Vedas. Fundamental substance of the universe is well known as the Mahatattva in Srimad Bhagvata and all Gnyanis (men of knowledge) are often called Tattva Gnyani. And the knowledge of this fundamental substance is called Tattva Gnyan. So I don't see any need for any change in my statement that you have quoted. You mention of other theories but have not specified which?
By words about the quoted words I mean that Mahattatva too has origin & the fundamental substance is not independent. Moreover there are different theorems from different men of knowledge who had proved their laws and named them as own Sampradaaya.
Mahttatva originates from Brahman of Advaita Vedanta which is the Unmanifest of the Bhagavad Gita and nothing is beyond Brahman (the Unmanifest) which is the Mahakaran (The Great Cause) which itself is not caused by anything else. In Bhagavad Gita you will find two levels of the unmanifest. We are talking about the deeper level which is the Ultimate reality without any cause. Different theorems of different Sampradaaya fall in the category of Dvaita and Vishist Advaita categories. They are valid within their own domain but advaita vedanta goes one step beyond this domains for defining the ultimate absolute reality. Besides Advaita Vedanta is not just writing a theorem and setting up a Sampradaaya, it is based on the first hand experience of the reality which is presented to others for their own verification.
