what is the importance of thermodynamics in astrocytic network especially the gap junction coupling between astrocyes, once the coupling strength is measured, then the possibility of the ions or molecules to diffuse into other cell will follow the diffusion equilibrium concept... Is my thinking logic? Or I have to find better behaviour strategy?

Actually I am going to use the gap junction with spiking neural network
So i am going to model the gap junction as thermodynamics not electrical gap junction.
my ideal in the model is to measure the strength coupling of each astrocyte separately
The parameters that I will use for the equation based on the mediators that affects the permeability of the gap junction channels such as second messengers IP3 or ca2+ or glutamate
However , my model initially two astrocytes. And each astrocyte with separate synapse(tripartite) I will try to check if these two astrocytes are going to be coupled or not by gap junction by comparing their gap junction strength.... Suppose I have AST 1 and AST 2
I have then two couple strengths for each astrocytes
CC1 and CC2
Coupling = CC1-CC2
Now if cc1>cc2 in some of value I will decide it subject to calcium threshold
Then based on diffusion equilibrium... That more stronger coupling will diffuse to less coupling
So IP3 ca2+ and glutamate of cc1 will be regenerated to cc2 in the same values of cc1 ...in this case we have selective coupling with threshold and these two astrocytes are coupled with gap junction later with more astrocytes will form domain ... functional.domain
