I am using TiO2 composite as main material. After preparing the slurry (TiO2+ binder), it is coated on Cu electrode. One of my friend suggest this method but I can not understand.
Suppose,
Weight of the un-coated Cu electrode (12 mm thick) = 12 mg
Weight of the active material coated electrode = 17 mg
So, weight of active material = 17-12= 5 mg.
To change from weight to mass divide by gravity, g (9.8 m/s2)
Therefore the mass of the active material = 5/9.8 = 0.51
Is this a correct process to calculate the mass of active material? How g value plays a role here? If some one knows the correct procedure and tell, it will be very helpful for me.
