Could anyone provide statistical information about the water treatment wastes/residues formation (tonnes per year) and ways of their re-use in any country? At this moment I found such information about Belarus and the Netherlands (AquaMinerals.com)
I think you might find interesting data in the publication (in English) concerning mainly France, and some other countries : http://www.fp2e.org/userfiles/files/publication/RAPPORT_BIPE_GB_ENTIER.pdf;
Some possible useful data (for Mediterranean countries) are also in : https://journal.gnest.org/sites/default/files/Journal%20Papers/333-350_15-3_936_Kalavrouziotis.pdf
Continuing my answer on solids which get released ex.sewage stream.
In most urban ww is ex flush water and its BOD stands at 300-500 ppm..
per capita generation of thse sludges if treated from STP or into natural sinks are arrived at taking 30l per person per day times 400ppm ..in kgs.
In rurals and villages the BOD of sludge- water would be 1500-2000ppm same assessmnt can be applied.
In certain regions, no water is admixed and is in the form of night soil/ form.
With this solid waste is also generated by persons in community both bio and non-bio nature.
The pattern of community spread in a region is applied ie urbans, rurals and others.
And due assessmnt of sludges is done accordingly.
It would be in the interest of community if all thse wastes and sludges are duly converted into compost-manure and utilised as soil-improver in the region after ensuring they are safe and compliant to pollution standards.
The above notings issued in the social and environmntl interest of the communities.
