If the correlation coefficient between two variables is found to be 0.23 based on a sample of 200 cases it comes as statistically significant. Here stat significance has no meaning since the magnitude of correlation is only 0.23.At the same the reverse is important ( r=0.8 , n= 10.) , statistically it is not significant, but, r = 0.8,which should be given weightage-Any observation /comment ?
