I‘m reading about research ‘Surface-Tension-Dominant Crystallization of 2D perovskite single crystals for vertically oriented hetero-/homo-structure photodetectors’.

I understand it until in surface region the critical nucleus radius can decrease due to the surface tension.

I can‘t understand about correlation between nucleation barrier and contact angle.

Why smaller contact angle has higher nucleation barrier and is the same as nucleation barrier in the surface growth region? I don’t know the reason why nucleus generate a smaller radius than critical nucleus radius, too

I want your help.

Thank you.
