If the only reason that you pursued an arduous journey such as a PhD/EdD/DBM, was to earn the letters after your name, this may not be for you. If, however, your purpose was existential and ontological, in that you wanted to search for meaning, being, and existence, then you should be asking yourself the following important questions:
1. How many student scholars, faculty, and institutional leaders are currently accessing your doctoral study on ProQuest/UMI?
2. Do you regularly receive inquiries about your research?
3. Has anyone found your study compelling enough to want to invite you to their university or organization?
It may well be that you too are among thousands of doctoral alums whose work sits in the ProQuest repository, without ever getting noticed! It is possible that a visitor may quickly browse through your study, find something compelling, but feel distracted by hundreds of other entries. The attention span of a researcher doing a search by keywords, may not be much more than a fly!
I am helping many doctoral graduates, and in some cases, well-deserving masters (MPhil) scholars to convert their dissertations/theses into Kindle and paperback books on Amazon! Once you are on Amazon, a brand new world that you did not know existed, will open up. Contact me ASAP at [email protected]
