i am currently developing a cfd model for the carbon capture process. The geometry of the absorber column is shown in the figure. The green arrows represents inlet and outlet for liquid and the red arrow indicates the gas flow. I am using eulerian multiphase model with species and mass transfer. the boundary condition i am using is gas and liquid mass flow inlet and pressure outlet. At first i received the converged solution, but the problem was that there was extra gas entering through the liquid outlet which shouldn't the case. so i turned the backflow volume fraction of liquid at liquid outlet to 1. This doesn't give me the converged solution. I tried extending the domain and patching the liquid volume fraction near outlet to 1. But this doesn't help at all. Is there anyone who can help me with this problem.?
