i done my Mphil on effect of different insecticide on red soider mite and i found that best acaricide against all stages of this mite is chloerfenapyr
a way to avoid resistance to insecticides is to base you control on the use surfactant type control namely oil and insecticidal soap. Insects do not become resistant to such treatment it has less environmental impact and toxicity concern from insecticide and is cheaper. The care is to define the concentration that will not be phytoxic and to develop a system of population monitoring and apply as thresholds are reached. This approach conserves beneficial insects and also avoids unnecessary treatments. In high temperature and light environments target the control application at early morning or evening as not to sun scald the plants. Usually 0.75% to 1.5% vegetable oils are quite effective and use enough detergent to give effective mixing.
