Grain growth inhibition of ceramic is direct related to the type of charge on ions in the molecules, as if the ions can attach to corners of ceramic molecule preventing grain growth.in addition to increase no. Of nuclei of crysatlization in the system will decrease the crystal growth. All factors increase the no. Of nuclei will decrease grain growth like adding Mg ,Zn and some types of charged active chitosan molecules.
Grain boundary migration is restricted by grain growth inhibitors and these inhibitors are not in motion owing to high temperature stability. Seed acts as a nucleating site and crystal growth adapts the previous i.e. seed structure for further growth.
