In this way, Business Intelligence analytics may facilitate the diagnosis of financial frauds, falsified financial data and detection of creative accounting because the development of Business Intelligence analytics platforms is based on the use of new information technology and advanced processing of large amounts of economic and financial data describing the functioning of business entities and the market, industry environment , competitive, etc. in which specific, audited operators operate.

The development of accounting science and financial reporting is correlated with technological progress in this area, i.e. it should take into account the development of IT applications that are widely used in the accounting departments and financial reporting in business entities. In addition, in recent years, instrumentalization, standardization and computerization of accounting and auditing of financial statements, as well as economic, financial, indicative and fundamental analyzes, etc. supporting reporting processes have been developing rapidly. In addition, computerized analytics concerning the processing of data generated, among others, in accounting systems on Business Intelligence platforms are also developing. Analyzes conducted in the cloud using Business Intelligence based on data collected in Big Data database systems support financial management processes and management of the entire economic activity conducted by a specific company or financial institution, public, etc.

Currently, the development of Business Intelligence analytics platforms is based on the use of new information technologies and advanced processing of large amounts of economic and financial data describing the functioning of business entities and the market, industry, competitive environment etc. in which specific, surveyed business entities operate. Because the amount of data describing the functioning of the business entity and its environment is constantly growing so without the support of Business Intelligence analytics and analyzes carried out on the basis of data collected in Big Data database systems, in the computing cloud, etc. conducting economic analyzes would be much more difficult, cost-consuming and time-consuming. In addition, the instrumentalization and standardization of accounting and processes for conducting auditing of financial statements and economic analyzes through the use of modern-day IT applications increases the level of objectivity of conducted analyzes and reduces the operational risk of human capital related to the possibility of making mistakes or subjective assessments of the results of analyzes carried out by personnel involved in these analyzes.
