A quick question - what are in your opinion the best conferences to apply with topics related to UAV/RPAS (path planning, autonomous takeoff/landing, SLAM, navigation, computing, etc.).

An interesting series of workshops organized in conjunction with top conferences is the "International Workshop on Computer Vision for UAVs (UAVision)"
Vania V. Estrela but they won't tell you which ones are good - hopefully the community will :)
Any where that have best condition for international workshop on some international issue.
One of the main conferferences on UAVs is the "International Conference on Unmanned Aircraft Systems (ICUAS)".
Other important conferences that are not focused on UAVs but you can find lots of papers related to them are the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) and the IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS).
American Control Conference (ACC), European Control Conference (ECC), Conference on Decision and Control (CDC) and IFAC World Congress are the most renowed conferences in control theory, and they usually include lots of papers related to UAVs control, perception, planning, etc.
within the flagship communication conferences, we have a selected area dedicated to aerial aspects.

Michal Aibin indeed, it is aerial communication-focused. However, computation, navigation (the wireless part), and some kinds of path planning are covered
