Although this use is mentioned in the bibliography, I am not aware of its effective use in the industry as an effective substitute for limestone. In addition to the constraints relating to the MgO content in the marble, are there constraints relating to the SiO2 content?
I can't give you a direct answer for OPC as I worked with CAC when I used this material but here is what we found:
We had no problem concerning MgO or SiO2, the main problem we had with the material was crystallinity. It did not dissolve fast enough and therefore, did not take part in the reactions. Due to the well developed crystallites even the finer milled material was not useful compared to Limestone.

But they did only reach low strength products. (This might be due to the slow reaction speed on the crystalline surfaces of the grains.) If it should be used in cement industries it would have to be improved. I do not think that finer milling is a solution, as it requires excessive amounts of energy. Maybe the material could be treated chemically to improve it.
