I am looking for a comprehensive book on bootstrapping.

If you can recommend any, please provide a description of the audience the book is intended to (e.g., beginners vs. advanced) and of how the book is written (i.e., where does it lie on the continuum between "a lot of formulae, a must for a statistician" and "a nice book that explains each concept in a comprehensive way so that everyone can understand").

If there is a book that is the "gold standard" in bootstrapping please mention it. If you favour another book than that one, please state why.

Many thanks in advance!
