How can I perform a hypothesis test on the difference of Kendall's Tau between independent control and treatment/disease group. Can I use Fisher's Z transform as for Pearson's R (=Steiger's Z-test) or do I have to bootstrap, but how?
Hi! After more than a year, I ran again into the same problem, but this time I think I found a solution: converting tau into r and then performing the fisher transformation. The procedure is described here: http://cedu.niu.edu/~walker/personal/Walker%20Kendall's%20Tau.pdf
Hope this helps you. In case you came up with a different solution, please share.
I just wanted to find out the same thing and came across ResearchGate, so I joined. Hope you will get an answer. :-) Let me know if you find out about it - I'll do the same.
