Company-made custom FISH probes validation?

Hi everyone =)

I already know that if you make your FISH probes yourself you have to undertake the painstaking process of validating them so they don't cross-react with other things and stuff and that's why people prefer commercial probes but, what about company-made custom probes?

Do you have to validate them as well or researchers blindly trust the company and the probes' QC? I want to know before deciding to order some probes I have in mind.
