I have simulated a tapered slot UWB antenna. I got good S parameters but the Co/ Cross polarization isolation is less than 15 dB at the main lobe in the band. How can I improve the polarization isolation ?
The 15 dB figure seems sort of par for the course? I think this paper does a good job of explaining different techniques and what performance to expect. It looks like antenna design remains as much an art as it is a science.
Here's another example, this time an elliptical patch antenna. But once again, cross polarization isolation better than 15 dB only occurs at certain angles.
Fatemeh Jafari Naeeni, I need to get at least 20 dB polarization isolation at the main lobe of the tapered slot antenna. Also, I need the antenna still has a compact size.
