I receive an error from ClinProTools when trying to obtain the peak list after importing two sets of spectra collected in different periods. Acquisition parameters have changed, calibration and FlexAnalysis software have been updated. I have reasonable doubts that the problem is the different acquisition file used prior to spectra acquisition.
Now the question is, how can I solve the problem and let the software recognize these two sets of spectra? Is there a conversion or a trick to use to elaborate different sets without running again the oldest samples with the new calibrations/parameters? Thank you for your help.
try to export spectra list from fleximaging and combine them with ClinProtSpectraImport xml generator ... then go to ClinProtTools
Dear Irene, thank you very much. The problem is that I do not think to find easily a version of this software. I see that is a stand-alone program, but I do not know if it comes with ClinProTools installation CD or not. I think that is a commercial software isnt' it?
Irene why I do not have a tab "Open XML file on my ClinProTools"? Maybe I am using an old version? (I have the 2.1 build 85). Which version do you have?
I supposed so. I do not have this option in my version, unfortunately. However, I should have found the version 3.0 from a colleague...next week maybe... I will let you know. I hope that the problem can be solved, since I noticed that the xml converter is only a simple mean to collect different samples. I did not find any information about processing different spectra with different calibrations on newer ClinProTools versions. Do you have some ideas?

Dear Irene, unfortunately the problem is not the version of the software (ClinProTools) but the acquisition timebase. The new software is not able to open files acquired with different acquisition parameters/calibrations. The XML converter is no good as well.
Other ideas?
Dear Andrea, I learned that earlier versions of Clinprotools do not work with cubic calibration. Only version 3 can handle cubic. If your data have been acquired with cubic enhanced calibration, there is a complicated way to convert them into quadratic. I would contact Bruker for support, they are usually very supportive.

Hi Laura. Unfortunately I had to acquire again the old samples with the new parameters...it was tedious but effective. Even the newest ClinPro tools version did not solve the problem that is an acquisition problem...
