Clinical applications of physicochemical techniques: FTIR, SEM, X-Ray Fluorescence. Somebody have other examples?

During these last ten years, different publications have been published regarding clinical cases where physicochemical techniques bring valuable information to the clinicians. In the attached publication, these clinical applications are discussed. X-ray fluorescence and Wilson disease is another interesting application.

There are a lot of publications on FTIR&ramann and cancer... but at my best knowledge no hospital has finally accepted to follow these works.
