Global warming is a severe topic among the scientific community and decision makers worldwide with strategic impact at stake in the long term. The causes and effects are of such major importance to us. Among are: Melting ice having direct effect on accelerating Sea Level Rise and Increased Coastal Flooding; More Frequent and Intense Heat Waves including Increase in Extreme Weather Events; Longer and More Damaging Wildfire Seasons; costly and more risks to public health; changing seasons; plants and animals geographical range shifts; and most frightening is the disruption of the food supply cause by massive crops failure worldwide.
Beside that aspect of the question. I would like to ask and a give a new dimension to that topic by asking the following question:
How far can we human artificially influence the weather status?

The issues are too complex and I second the opinion of Exelis that can humans really change the climate or revert back to its original state? out of 770 million Giga toms of CO2 emitted into atmosphere annually by natural processes only 30 million giga tons is added by industries.

Do we consider only CO2 as the main factor? from another of my question that you can find, we had talked on the potential given by micro-algae captivating those emissions and similarly producing bio-fuel. More experts see a greater potential into potent fungal sources by biotechnology remediation. I agree with Saif Uddin saying the issue is indeed very complex. So any short term or long term alternatives to help reduce this CO2 extensive global emissions?

Being in the center and actual context, we are facing for example a long heat wave in South East Asia without raining. Water level reserve for public consumption is fading and evaporating fast too posing a serious threat to human welfare in general.
That did happen all of a sudden. I hope more contributions can be given about all this new climatic condition. Thanks a lot to all.
