Query 1: Can the human tissue macrophage markers be measured or found in plasma or serum? Alternatively if we can measure a specific human tissue macrophage marker in plasma, will that represent the level of corresponding tissue macrophage. For example, If I find that the human lung alveolar macrophage marker (for example M2 polarized marker CD206) is elevated in certain metabolic condition in blood, can it be said that alveolar M2 macrophage is activated in that condition? Also, if anyone could provide any references related to human circulatory macrophage markers for a specific tissue, that would be much helpful.
Query 2: Is there any pro-inflammatory cytokine independent activation of Human Macrophages?
