Small children are curious about everything. About 8 to 10 years of age thay typically start to excell in some fields and struggle in others. Preferences emerge slowly over time as moderated by circumstances. Even in late teens many students have no particular direction in life or career. Certainly, I believe it can. My own interests have largely remained the same from childhood, changing only in specific directions. Interestingly, your question is concerned with work/occupation roles not other means of reaching potential.

There is no doubt that modern education makes playing a means to develop children's abilities and develop intelligence and creative thinking since the early years. Interest in particular fields or careers start to develop at tender years when we are exposed to them. The fondness to activities related to those careers is heightened through the constant exposure. I was born and bred into artistic expressions of nature. Thus, naturally I fell in love with drawing, painting, carving, modelling, casting, and engraving of natural things...I love nature！Coupled with this, my father and elderly brothers loved writing on every subject so I became a writer even before my teen age. My uncle whom I lived with for sometime loved antiques and was curious about the diversities in the cultures of mankind, therefore, he travelled with me to many local regions to observe wonderful cultural practices. As a result, I saw the wisdom in their orders and the pain of the illiterate rural folk！Growing up and assuming higher responsibilities, my passion for saving the things in nature, particularly, biodiversity, my desire for making others realize the great wisdom in the cultures of old and the strong will to speak for the disadvantaged and voiceless rural folks, have carved my current career in biodiversity conservation, cultural anthropology and local community participation in developmental issues.

My question today about childhood and the interest of children from the beginning, if he was interested in drawing, for example, playing with cubes or playing with computer games, does this indicate the future of the child's work on the design and playing cubes on civil engineering ... ... or have nothing to do with the children's interest in their future?

• Step 1 - observe what they will do automatically / willingly;
