Hello,

I'm trying to simulate the flow in a pipe containing a bi-leaflet valve whose movement (the rotation angle) is driven by the flow at the inlet using Ansys CFX. I'm using an immersed solid method for the moving components and tried using Rigid Body dynamics by just calculating the inertia and prescribing only the one rotational degree of freedom. I've turned on gravity in the y-direction so gravity should only affect the rotation- not whole valve displacement (since there is only one rotational degree of freedom).

Using a monitor point during my last run I was able to see the valve angles moving but then I got an overflow error 80% into the simulation time. I suspect this is because I have not added any external force/torque definitions. I don't know how to constrain the rigid body dynamics to just between the valve opening and closing angles (90 and 40 respectively) and if what I'm doing is right. Any advice on where to start/proceed would be appreciated thanks.
