In my studies I have 7 IV as factors that influences 1 DV. Therefore I have 7 adapted scales and one newly established scale ( for DV)
They were then translated to different language.
Can I run EFA after pilot study and CFA in actual study because the data will be analysed in SEM PLS?
Do I run EFA seperately for each factor ?

Well, there are some previous reference mentioned that we need to run EFA for translated items/survey - will try to send one i found them- because considered as developing new instruments. I would like to suggest to run both EFA and CFA in pilot study and this based on the sample size especially for CFA. Also, better to run EFA of all factors to check the multicollinearity.
At the end, please make sure that the results of EFA are data driven and CFA are theory driven and the results are usually different- to say that you might find problematic items in EFA but they are not when you run CFA.
