HyFlo is a Celite product (see http://www.advancedminerals.com/pdf/msds/2402.pdf ).

There are many different kinds of "Celite" and some of them can be used instead, others won't work for that purpose.

Which Celite product are you thinking of using?

plant extract contains some nonproteinous unwanted suspended matter .to remove hem and to make the filtrate transparent and clear it advise to use hyflo super cel 

I used this material in industry  for production refined papain from Carica papaya latex which was mainly based on physical method and not on chemical method where we reached 100 tu/mg of proteolytic activity to 100o tu units.

this material is nonreactive.

surely you can but be cautious  if tjhe filtrate is to be used for food or drug no escape of filtering material is admissible. use protecting filament of smaller pore  size than that of your particle size.
