I would like to use methanol to extract allelochemicals from coralline algae and then vacuum distillation to purify the mixture.

I want to do this for different treatments and compare the effect of the allelochemical.

I am assuming that by using the methanol extraction and vacuum distillation method, allelochemical concentration will reflect its production based on the conditions the organism is in.
