We did total hip replacement, using a dual mobility cup. There were several surgical challenges in preparing both acetabulum and femur. The initial shortening was 5 cms, which has now been reduced to 2 cm.
Preoperative surgical studies can be carried out in modelling software such as Materialise mimics, which would able to give the exact portion of the femur head. Further the addition of screws should also be able to tested experimentally.@Raju Vaishya
