You would need to give us more information. What have you measured? What do you mean by 'impact?' Impact upon what? Do you have more than one measurement time with the same people, or just one point in time?

Here impact has been basically accessed on some social parameters like impact on children, impact on audience in general who were exposed to programs aired by the public service broadcaster, Doordarshan and now are getting transnational content, the difference if any caused by 'western influence' on a traditional culture, what has been the impact of global media content on the general lifestyle, whether they have got better information from channels like Discovery or Animal Planet, has there been any glocalisation effect etc..The study has been done over some months where the respondents answered to a set of questionnaires.

Still the term impact is too much general to analyze. Westernization and colonization are enormously wide contents to be measured, and nobody have managed to measure sufficently.

But, I think you try to find the effect with a "ceterus parebus" approach. Anyway, there must be time line. There must be differences,between, before transnat. TV and after transnat. TV. Such call it B-tv and A-tv. It can be our first dimension.

Could you please give some examples or some "frames" from your questions to describe your point of view? Also I need some responses from your sampling. What you intented exactly first, and what you have found after it?

Just make it a little concrete for us. So maybe, find a way and a proper analyzing method.

Well, without knowing specific details of variables and research questions, in general the analyses for a single point in time cross-sectional survey would be correlational and regression-based analyses (although these could also include path analyses or latent variable structural path analyses). In psych and comm research, usually a distinction is made between amount of media exposure or content of media exposure, and then these are correlated with different outcomes. SPSS is the software you can use to analyze the data. Furthermore according to the data collected you have to see which statistical test you can apply to get answers of your RQs or Hypothesis. You must have broken down the word "impact" further.
