I’m working on a research project that will use participants who are current members of the military. I would like to assess participants’ reenlistment intentions. I prefer to avoid single-item scales. Can you recommend a two-item or three-item measure of reenlistment intentions?
Military Psychology constitutes one of the oldest Section, Area and Sub-specialty of Psychology, according to the American Psychological Association (APA) -in fact, Psychometry is indebted to Ps. Military, from the Test Batteries, "Army Alpha" and "Army Beta" used in the 1st and 2nd World Wars; It is also the Clinical Psychology and Psychophysiology regarding studies on Stress and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and its intervention, Leadership, Ps. of the Command and a long etc. - for this reason, studies on LEADERSHIP and its relations with Personality and Resilience have been carried out for quite some time in the different Armies of the world and, of course, in those of NATO ... .
And I am not speaking "from hearsay" or from assumptions, but I assert it as a Higher Diploma in Ps. Military, Doctor in Medicine and Doctor in Psychology (PhD in both) that I am and, even more, as a member of the Psychology Service of the Spanish Navy (and NATO, therefore) in a situation of "Leave of absence" and as a member of the Defense Health Corps, and not precisely with a low Degree or Rank, but quite high and, IN EFFECT, THERE ARE INSTRUMENTS TO MEASURE THE VARIABLES OF PERNONALITY THAT FACILITATE RE-ENCLOSURE AND TECHNIQUES TO PROMOTE IT ... the problem is that most of the studies and research in this regard - and many others - are "Reserved and Confidential", and cannot be published or disclosed until they are declassified (in fact, here in "RG", I have contributed some contributions from Military Ps. complete I have not been able to add, for the above)
