My pilot study pertains to a treatment over a period of 4 weeks for persistent covid symptoms. We have planned to have a treatment and control group. We are getting participants one by one very slowly even as we continue to increase our recruitment efforts. I'm thinking it doesn't make sense to wait until we have all 30 participants to begin our study because I am concerned about the long wait from when a participant comes to us expressing their symptoms and when we can start treatment. Is there a way to randomly assign participants to the control or treatment one by one? I know how to randomize once I have all 30 participants, but is there a way to randomize clients as they come in? Thank you in advance! I am a beginner researcher and really appreciate the help :)
