This is similar to Clonorchis sinensis eggs, but there is no terminal button. In addition it looks like a larva, not a mirasidium like a trematoda egg in general.

I have found adult Moniliformis moniliformis within the intestines of the rat with the unidentified egg. Could this egg with the larvae possibly be an acanthocephalan?
Hi, we can not rule out the egg as a Spiruroid egg, however, the infection of Strongyloides spp. in rat is not uncommon. Further confirmation can be made by observation of larvae and specifically the oesophagous part.
I agree, it looks like a Spirurid egg. Check out this link for an inexpensive camera option for the microscope. I use the 10mp version in my lab, but this is the one I recommend to my students as an alternative to I-phone images.
