Hi, trying to run a multifactor anova with statgraphics, the design is 2 categorical factors (A and B) and 2 levels for each factor. When I put a order of interactions of 2 (namely AB interaction), the software gives me the error message: "ERROR: factor AB is a linear combination of other factors". Any clues to solve the problem?. Thank you in advance
Hi, I think i've found where the problem is:
treatment A: factor 1 "yes", factor 2 "yes"
treatment B: factor 1 "yes", factor 2 "no"
treatment C: factor 1 "no", factor 2 "no"
The table is missing the following:
treatment D: factor 1 "no", factor 2 "yes"
Whitout this the software don not compute the interaction.
Hi, I had the same problem;
in statgraf you should include all combinations of factors, even if in some combinations there are no data (put null in the cell for these combinations).
