I am stuck in interpreting the Hayes Mediation. The results of data analysis show a non-significant direct effect of X on Y, but the indirect effect of X on Y is significant. The data also show that there is no effect of X on M but M has the effect on Y.
I am confused here.......
and yes, the total effect is also significant.
So, can you please tell me how to conclude.. Is there any mediation? or no mediation.. Details of results are attached
When the direct effect is not significant but the indirect effect is significant you can conclude that you have full mediation.
If you're direct and indirect effects are both significant you have partial mediation.
If you have no significant indirect effect you have no mediating effect.
