We try to fabricate thin films using PMMA, carbon nanotubes and acetone by spin coating to be observed by EFM. The ideal images have to show the nanotubes sub-surface in the phase 2nd channel but our images do not show them (only artifacts)
try to increase the spinning speed, you have to start with relatively diluted solution.
We are working with 3000rpm in 30s at first stage, and 6000 in 30s at second stage
Be careful when you work with carbon nano tube because it danger.
I think it is a sufficient speed. Please, you should try the other choice, i.e. you have to dilute your recipe using access acetone. You will get a highly precise image through a side view of the FESEM test.
Dear Carlos, This could be the problem related to the sample preparation and not because EFM imaging technique.
