WeChat is a mobile text and voice messaging communication service (mainly in China with more than a billion users).
And it has a feature of public account, which enables interact with users.
I would ask from fellows, whether or not there is any study using WeChat to gather information as a questionnaire.
you may want to try to use google docs for such survey or surveymonkey instead of using smartphone apps.
Or, why do you want to use WeChat first?
Another possible solution can be that: You create an online survey on google Forms or other webbased services and use WeChat as a way to spread the links to your audience so that they use the link and directed to your survey page.
If WeChat offers such services like google forms, then it seems reasonable. But collecting the data through an app for personal communication. it would be burdensome.
Such mobile phone app has limited options for survey research management and data analyses. Probably it won't be so attractive, compared to other software. I agree it could be used as information channel, disseminating survey link.
