Iam planning to buy a new laptop and checked one laptop with i5-13500 processor which is having 12 processor but 4 performance cores and 8 efficient cores.
So can I use all the cores for the calculations like DFT calculation.

one of the important things in these calculations is what software you want for dft calculating.
for example, the optimum number of cores for using DFT is 8, so your chosen laptop is suitable.
The laptop is basically not suitable for high-load tasks. It usually has a weak processor and, more importantly, a poor cooling system. Of course, you can run tasks on your laptop, but be prepared for it to quickly break down due to systematic overheating.
I agree with Alexey that the life span of a laptop (and admittedly also of a standard desktop) will be greatly reduced by intensive use and overheating.
On the other hand, most of the DFT codes require a significant amount of memory and adding memory to a laptop is usually less trivial than to a desktop and comes with a significant price tag. So I will suggest to reconsider your plan and see if you can use at least a basic workstation that can be accessed from the internet to run your calculations.
