Perhaps. Though I have my doubts particularly since manufacturing the packing is proprietary information. While the Aminex column is the great grand father of the HILIC columns it was used in the reverse phase mode. Ion exchange uses a completely water environment (almost).
Rather than 'killing' a good RP column, I would purchase a dedicated column for organic acids (or CVA by having at least 5% Methanol in all my mobile phases for the Aminex column).
