Yes, the faith has already given us much information about God. But what the person of God entails, goes beyond what the bible has stated. For example, his simplicity, his essence and his existence are the same, how he moves all other things by way of appetite and not direct contact. The faith gave only a glimpse of what God is from revelation, but Metaphysics is the field that really explains what it really means to be God from a logical point of view.

Daniel Unuagbon I think you have already answered your question in your own underlying explanation thereof. Revelation is already a metaphysical concept, but one can just accept a putative revelation without looking for a metaphysical explanation. Talk can be superficial or profound, depending on how much one cares about the subject matter. Moreover, metaphysics may not give you the sort of answer you hoped for.
