Polyethylene and copper oxide nanopowder should be used for preparing polymer nanocomposite. can this be achieved by hand lay up technique or else which way we can prepare it?
Hand lay up defined for FRC(Fiber-reinforced composite) systems. for particle filled system in nanoscale you should disperse the particles in media. after dispersing particles in media(melt mixing or solution casting) you can formed the resultant composite with any method.
Dispersion of nano-phase (e.g. nano-particle) is the major problem. Due to very high surface area of the nano-particle they tend to agglomerate very strongly. Very strong shear force is require to break the agglomerates. adding some not stickable layer (dispersing agents) will facilitate the avoiding of the agglomeration formation. Reducing the viscosity of the continuous phase by adding some solvents facilities the breaking of agglomerates. To answer you question, yes it is possible at high temperatures and with some solvents when formation of agglomerates is avoided.
