Absorbance ratio method for only for multicomponent drug analysis and not single drug analysis.

Ratio method is used for product that is not stable. Therefore require internal standard (stable compound) for ratio calculation. The answer is yes for me ( you can use for single compound but you have to find stable compound that suit for your method)

You can use permanganate solution as standard and determine.
