Recently I got an request from one researcher to help him by providing the Aspen Plus simulated file whose data is recently published in International Journal of Green Energy. I am in a dilemma that can I give this file to him or I will have to only guide him to simulate his own file.

Some people e.g., in China, do not have access to Google or Scholar. Also, some people do not have library access (as in this case) to Taylor and Francis or Elsevier journals. I have access, but my university must pay for every article I download. My attitude is that you should help somebody in your research group or even with whom you may co-author a paper. But don't help random strangers to break international embargoes or copyrights.
Hi! As I understand the question, it is not about providing the published article, but providing the supporting data and analysis constructs behind the article?
There is no need to give the data to random people, but if the person asking is a qualified researcher in the same field, there is a reasonable duty to show the data (if not licenses or agreements with businesses or GDPR and ethical rules about interviewee’s privacy makes this difficult). The other researcher should be able to scrutinize the paper and try to replicate the results. That is an important characteristic of classic philosophy of science, that separates it from pseudo-science practices where ”researchers” can be happy with one unique result at one occasion. not possible to replicate by other researchers under similar conditions.
Hi, You should be careful about that. You can give the procedure about how to do it but not the file.
