We know that grid feeding inverter or grid following inverter is a current-controlled based inverter that follows the frequency of the main grid and feeds power according to the set value of active power reference and reactive power reference.
But in the case of contingencies, the frequency fluctuates at the load side, and we cannot change anything of the main grid. Is there any possibility to improve the frequency response through a grid-feeding inverter?

I'd like to help you but I haven't fully understood your problem.
I understood that you have an inverter that is fed by a power source (e.g. solar panels or something similar) and you feed the power to a grid via this inverter. In order to control the inverter's output currents on the grid side you need the grid voltage as a guiding quantity.
Can you now specify in detail, where you have the frequency fluctuations (e.g. in the grid voltage?), what is the unwanted reaction of your inverter that occurs and how you'd like to have the reaction of the inverter in such a case.
It is also important to know if you have 1~ connection from your inverter to the grid or 3~.
Perhaps you have a drawing or a sketch that makes this clear. I don't know if I can help you, but if I understand the problem, I can think about it and if I have hints for you, I'll send them.

Could you please explain, do you have an inverter feeding into public electricity network from your microgrid or you have an energy island with grid inverter and another kind of power generator, which frequency is changing due to load fluctuation. Some kind of circuit diagram would be necessary to understand the question. Generally, a low power inverter is never capable to change frequency in a public network.

I am considering that your system is of 1phase !!
The active and reactive power is changing only, once the grid disconnected.
Voltage and frequency also fluctuate ......you can improve the frequency by using the closed loop system at inverter side by controlling the voltage of DC-DC Converter. Or Reactive power having vital role to control the frequency. Controlling of the reactive power will control the frequency.
I don't know how this answer help you ......but you u specify the system then will think about problem.
The grid feeding is following the main grid,so the frequency is controlled by the governor set point of the main generator.
It is certainly possible. But would likely need to handle the full power load of that part of the grid making any such device too expensive; and would likely need backup with automatic switching if a failure occurred; assuming the frequency controller is remote from the generator. Or at least at present; it is just not practical and way too expensive; remotely. And as Mr. Joller has stated; without a circuit diagram; we are all talking to the wind here. The answer appears to be with Mr. Ashraf Mohamed; the governor at the main generator needs to be more sensitive and likely needs a back up with automatic switching. And since the presumption is 3 phases, only the generator frequency adjustment source would be practical. Or the generator manufacturer needs to supply the answer; and I am certain they have an answer. It is just a matter of time and money. So who is the generator manufacturer and where can they be contacted to give Mr. Gaurav an answer?
